I will be enrolling to begin my MA in Fashion and Textiles at the end of September 2016.
I am currently working for a technical textiles company as a Knitting Technician and have access to a Shima Seiki WholeGarment machine.
The purpose of my MA will be to develop my design and programming skills, knowlege of garment construction and technical textile fibres and structures. I want to research how technical textiles have affected the aesthetics in fashion knitwear.
I am working on a new sketchbook based on a visit to Villa Noailles in Southern France:
Having a great second day at New Designers meeting lots of interesting people. Come down and visit us on stand T40. #nd30yrs #newdesigners
I have been chosen as one of the students from the University of Derby to exhibit at New Designers 2015 from 24th to 27th June.
The university’s display will be on stand T20 at the event held at the Business Design Centre, London, N1.
I am lucky to have two outfits included in the University of Derby Fashion Show held at Derby Theatre this evening at 7.30pm.
The show can be watched live on the following link. http://www.derby.ac.uk/big-show/fashion-show/live/
My final collection is currently on show at the University of Derby’s Markeaton Street Campus. Here are some images of my final designs.
The Big Show will be running at the University of Derby Markeaton Street and Britannia Mill sites from Saturday 30th May until Saturday 13th June 2015.
